I am a golfer and a tennis player and I want to compete to the best of my ability. Therefore, sport specific training is important to me and it is why I chose Joy as my trainer. Joy structures my workout sessions to aid in both the quick muscle demands of my tennis game and the need for flexibility, balance and fluidity in my golf game. I have used Joy as my trainer for more than two years now, and I have seen very positive results in my performance level in both sports.
I am a soon to be 48 year old woman, and in my quest to maintain a fitness level that I can be proud of, have been fortunate enough to find a most exciting hobby in the sport of sprint triathlon through the wonderful support of Joy von Werder. After only 3 weeks of following her conditioning program, I have decreased my body fat by 3.5%, and feel stronger, healthier, and more energetic than I have in years. Her program is tailor-made for women, always positive, and provides ample opportunities to be successful in your progress. As a person who has been trained by men in weightlifting gyms, her approach and pleasant, hopeful demeanor is so refreshing, I can't help but want to work hard. I look forward to completing my first of what I hope will be many sprint triathlons, and embrace the friendships that are developing along the way. It's a joy, to be trained by Joy!
Loved the program because I did not need to be an athlete to finish my first tri, but it did motivate me to become better. Now I swim, bike and run on a regular basis for my health and future tri's..
As a tennis player, I have found that Joy's training has helped me tremendously. The first couple of months were difficult, but in the long run, I have much better movement on the court and find that I am a lot less prone to injury. She really fine tunes the workouts to improve performance of your individual sport!
It is without hesitation that I recommend Joy's Triathlon class. Joy understood my need to train and she provided me with the best possible training methods for preparing for my first Sprint triathlon. It was so much fun training with other ladies. Any time I had a question, her response was quick and effective and reassuring.. She was always direct, honest and very encouraging with me. This is one of the best things I did in my life and I will take her class again. I met some wonderful ladies to train with and we have continuing friendships.
